Tuesday 27th June - walks **** Landguard and Felixstowe circuit - mainly cloudy but hot.

Walk 1 - Landguard Nature reserve circuit.

The sunshine disappeared for the most today but still remains hot, so exercises in the garden and then as we are helping an old friend this afternoon, we decide to drive down to Landguard for a walk. Starting off at midday we walk through the blackberry bushes looking amazing in full bloom, going to be a good year for blackberries by the look of things, the bees and butterflies seemed to love them too:) It was nice and quiet as we continued down to the small wooden jetty with the usual linnets but I only saw one rabbit, must be too hot for them! We watched the yellow Harwich foot ferry arrive before continuing back along the beach, getting some nice pics, sadly none were used on the TV today but I did have a fantastic run last week!

Walk 2 ? Around Felixstowe.

We had arranged with old friend Mary to push her up the town for her to do some shopping, visiting several shops, in fact we really enjoyed it as did Mary:) We then had a walk to the cliff top to see the sea before returning for a cuppa and cake, then home for a phone call from our son to hear about his weekend in London. We then fast forwarded through GMB (Good Morning Britain) and saw I had a pic featured on the early morning weather forecast of the Summer Solstice sunrise:) With light winds continuing we are seeing the lovely Maeva over the next couple of days:)
